Jeff Bezos

Jeff Bezos is the founder, and former president and CEO of Amazon, the world's largest E-Commerce company. Jeff's journey started with a $250,000 loan from his parents, which he built up to make himself one of the richest people in the world. His business portfolio is quite diverse, having successful businesses in e-commerce, tech, media, space and engineering, etc. This expansive diversification has earned him a net worth of  $202.5 Billion. Jeff and Elon Musk have been said to be rivals, with them even competing for the title of the richest person in the world.

Jeffrey Preston Bezos mostly known as Jeff Bezos was born in Albuquerque, New Mexico, on January 12, 1964. His biological father is Ted Jorgensen while Jeff’s mother Jackie Bezos remarried Miguel Bezos when Jeffrey was four.   

• Jeffery enrolled at Miami Palmetto High School back in 1978.
• He graduated from high school in 1982 as valedictorian.
• In 1986, Jeff secured bachelor's degrees in electrical engineering and computer science.
• He started his career as a product manager at Banker’s Trust in 1988.
• Jeff’s parents (Jackie & Miguel) gave him $250,000 to invest in his online bookstore (Amazon) which later turned into the biggest milestone in Jeff Bezos’ career.

Jeff Bezos was raised by his mother Jackie and father (adopted) Miguel from the age of four alongside his two siblings Christina and Mark.

• Jeff was 17 months old when his mother (Jackie) and his biological father (Ted Jorgensen) split up.
• He was adopted by Miguel Bezos at the age of four when Miguel and Jackie married each other in 1968.
• Jeffery became the elder brother of the Bezos family in 1969 when his sister Cristina was born and his brother Mark came a year later (1970).
• His biological father, Ted Jorgensen was unaware that Jeff was his son until 2012.
• Ted Jorgenson passed away on March 16, 2015, at the age of 70.
• Miguel and Jacklyn founded the Bezos Family Foundation back in 2000.
